Betty Hux Moseley
Betty Hux Moseley, 70, of Roanoke Rapids died Saturday, March 13, 2010.
Betty was a native of Halifax County, the daughter of the late Sterling Adrania Hux, Sr. and Bertha Warren Hux of Darlington. She was retired from J. P. Stevens Co. and The Bibb Company with 38 years of service. Betty was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She loved her church, family and friends, and especially babies and children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Roberta Louise Hux; two brothers, Sterling Adrania ''S.A.'' Hux, Jr. and Cecil Luther Hux; and two nephews, Al Hux and Tommy Bailey.
Betty is survived by her husband of 51 years, Stuart ''Randy'' Moseley; two sons, Jimmy Moseley and Mark Moseley, of Roanoke Rapids and a honorary son, Jason Schaller, also of Roanoke Rapids; her granddaughter, Stephanie Moseley; her grandson, Jeffrey Moseley, both of Roanoke Rapids; two sisters, Hazel Dickens of Roanoke Rapids and Nellie Bailey, who never left her side during her illness; also of Roanoke Rapids; three brothers, J. B. Hux of Newport News, VA, Albert Hux and his wife, Mary, of Roanoke Rapids and Herman Hux of Newport News, VA; thirteen nieces; and three very special nieces who assisted with her care during her illness, Kim Evans of Roanoke Rapids, Pam Langley Driver of Halifax and Paula Beach of Roanoke Rapids, and six nephews.
Askew Funeral & Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids is handling the arrangements, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 17, at 3:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Roanoke Rapids with Rev. Randy Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.
